How WattLong makes money
Some links on WattLong — for example, "check price" or manufacturer links on model pages — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the seller or an affiliate network. The price you pay is the same as going to the seller directly. WattLong may participate in affiliate programs operated by manufacturers and retailers of portable power stations and related equipment, and in advertising programs; the specific programs in use at any time are those whose links appear on the site.
What affiliate relationships do not change
- They do not change specifications: every model's data comes from the manufacturer, whether or not an affiliate program exists for that brand.
- They do not change the math: the formulas on how we calculate are applied uniformly to every model, including models we have no affiliate relationship with.
- They do not buy placement: calculator results and model matches are computed, not sold. Where a list is ordered, it is ordered by the stated criterion (for example, capacity).
Identifying affiliate links
Pages containing affiliate links carry a short disclosure line near those links, in addition to this page. If you would rather not use an affiliate link, search for the product directly on the manufacturer's or a retailer's site — the calculators work exactly the same either way.
